Allow us to introduce you to MCA financial Planners Pty Ltd ("MCA") an AFSL Dealer Group that is dedicated to helping Accountants and Financial Planners prosper by unlocking your firm's potential.
The Dealer group MCA Financial Planners is a joint venture between its major Shareholders MCA Accountants and MCA Financial Planners Managing Director Terry O Brien.
The Accountancy Practice has been in operation since 1968 and the Financial Planning arm commenced in 1987. In October 2002 the firm obtained its own AFSL, MCA Financial Planning Pty Ltd AFSL no. 223610.
Over the 14 years of operation, MCA has deliberately grown slowly and surely ,by selecting only experienced Advisers (mainly Accountants in public practice).
Our relationship with our Advisers is primarily focused on Compliance and our mutual obligations under the Corporations law.
MCA will not try to shape or influence your business model outside of your obligations under the Corporations law. There are no conditions or requirements for minimum funds under management or annual revenue.
The MCA Dealer model charges a flat fee for our services and we pass on 100% of your fees and commissions. This seperation of revenue allows us to meet our obligations as an AFSL without a conflict of shared remuneration. The day to day operations are run by two employees with decades of experience in the industry:

Meet The Team
Terry and Joe have a wealth of experience in dealing with the varying needs of Accountants and Financial Planners and are supported by an internal administration Team and external professional resources to provide compliance and technical support to the Group.
MCA is often in the news. Check out our collection of press clippings in this section.
Terry O'Brien spent $20,000 to be smeared with pig fat before swimming 15 hours across the world's busiest shipping lane...It makes an ASIC audit seem like a viable alternative. The suburban Melbourne financial planner realised a dream when he waded into 18 degree waters off Dover last August, determined to become the 41st Australian making the 54,000 swim strokes from England to France.
Professional Planner Magazine
Joe Grogan, general manager of MCA Financial Planners in Victoria, agrees, describing the commission payment as an easy collection model with some hidden traps, most notably leaving the adviser as a "soft target" whenever something goes wrong.

What is an Index Fund? An index fund is a type of managed fund. Index funds don't try to beat the market, instead they try to match the index. They do this by holding the same shares in the same proportions as they occur in the ASX 200.
